Greencombe Gardens


Make a holiday-highlight out of a visit to these58 year-old gardens on the edge of ancient woodland overlooking Porlock Bay. No matter the season, there will always be plenty to marvel at in Greencombe’s enchanting, completely organic woodland setting, including rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, maples, roses, hydrangeas, and ferns;national collections of Gaultheria, Vaccinium (blue-berries), Erythronium (dogs-tooth violets) and Polystichum, (the thumbs-up fern); and three and a half acres of bird song and butterflies.

Greencombe Garden is located half a mile west of Porlock and is open to the public from 2 pm - 6pm, Saturday to Wednesday inclusive, in April, May, June and July, and by arrangement at other times. Tea is available and there are organic plants are for sale. There is an entrance fee of £4.50 for adults or £1 forunder 16s.
