The Anchor has served Porlock Weir's 15th century harbour for sailors, walkers and huntsmen alike for more than 200 years. Now Martin Miller and daughter Tanya have taken their hunting lodge by the sea to the next level by introducing their Harbour View restaurant’s new 3-rosette Head ChefJames Draper.

Serving the highest quality food with truly local produce, Draper arrives at Miller’s with an impressive pedigree, having trained at Llandrillo College in North Wales which was voted the "best school in Europe 2000". He has also worked at Cardiff’s 4-star, 2-rosetteCopthorne hotel as well as the 4 star Bodysgallen Hall in Llandudno. He prides himself on using true local produce in a creative style, with an emphasis on freshly caught fish.

The restaurant is open Monday to Sunday, from 12 noon- 3pm for light lunches, while an a la Carte menu, plus children’s menu, is available from Wednesday to Sunday, 6.30-9pm. Additionally, cream teas are offered every day and full afternoon tea is available by reservation. Al fresco dining can be enjoyed along the harbour wall, and further seating is provided on a new decking area that boasts a children’s’ tree house on the side of the building.
